IN HIGH FLOOD.
THE WAIMAKARIRI RIVER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH; Wednesday. The Waimakariri River in in the highest flood for six months. The volume of water is said to equal that of the spring floods, when farm lands were seriously damaged.
At six o'clock to-night the river was four feet above normal at the Empire Bridge and was rising steadily.
