STATE ADVANCES.
AN AUCKLAND COMPLAINT.
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.")
WELLINGTON, this day,
Representations were recently made by a number of Auckland builders regarding serious delay in payments on housing loans by the State Advance, ofl'ne. The Prime. Minister stated, in reply to questions from your correspondent that, after inquiry, he found there had been no delay where loans had been agreed to. "I am assured by the Department," he said, 'that payment has been met at once, but what does occasion delay is the getting of specifications."
