MINISTER AT PUKEKOHE.
MINISTER AT PUKEKOHE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.* PUKEKOHE, this day. The Hon. R. F. Bollard, accompanied by his secretary, arrived at Pukekohe this morning and met a number of friends and supporters. He received no deputations, but opportunity was taken of mentioning the speeding up of the 7.15 a.m. Auckland-Frankton train. The point emphasised was that the workers of high school pupils was now interfered with on account of the train continually being late, while business people were inconvenienced by the delay of mails. Mr. Bollard said the Premier had sent officers to Pukekohe to investigate, and he anticipated there would be an improvement in the service in the future. He would place their representations before the Department. The Minister left for Waiuku this afternoon, and there received a deputation from the Town Board.
