EMERGENCY STRIKE PRICES.
In reference to tbe strike the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cablegram from its London manager, dated May 6:—"Cold store labour on strike, but Pmithfleld market supplied by salesmen rrom adjoining stores. As emergency measures the Government has arranged with Importers maximum prices ex store: Frozen mutton, 6 3-Bd, Trozen lambs, 10 l-Sd; frozen beer. hindquarters sd. forequarters 3 id. Prices to retailers, 3-Sd additional. Prices are irrespective or grade, quality, or country of origin. Meantime lower qualities and Heavier weights are not realising maximum prices. Owing- to the difficulty of obtainingdeliveries, I am unable to quote detlnite prices.''
