ANZAC DAY.

ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY. ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-MORROW. PUBLIC SERVICE AT 2.30 P.M. Auckland's observance of the eleventh anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps will centre to-morrow in the big public service in the Town Hall at 2.30 p.m. -The fact that Anzac Day falls this year on a Sunday -will, it is ■anticipated, make for an even more reverent observance of the anniversary -which is so dear to the hearts of all New Zealanders. Special commemorative services are to be held in • all the churches. In the afternoon, wreaths are to be laid on the graves of soldiers at iWaikumete and O'Neill's Point cemeteries. Returned soldiers, naval units, Scmth African war veterans, representatives of Imperial, Australian Canadian and South African units, and pioneers will take part in the military parade and inarch up Queen Street to the Town. The parade will be in command of Lieut.Colonel W. C. Sinel, D.5.0., with Lieutenant R. S. Judson, V.C., as adjutant. Units, will Assemble at 1.30 o'clock on the Queen's wharf, immediately inside the gates. It is specially requested that returned' men wear their uniforms if possible, and those who cannot do so will be expected to wear medals and decorations. The parade will move off in column of route at 2 o'clock, headed by the hand of the 3rd Auckland Mounted Rifles. Other bands in the procession will be the Auckland Artillery, Senior Cadets, •Salvation Army, YVaterside Workers, Port of Auckland and Temperance Guards. . . . A military guard will be provided at the cenotaph, and units will pay the usual compliments on passing that point. • At The Town Hall. The ground-floor of the Town Hall will be...reserved' for those taking part in the "parade. The doors of "the hall will be opened at 1.30 p.m., for the admission of • next-of-kin of deceased soldiers. Ticket holders will be admitted to seats in the gallery. King's Empire Veterans will be admitted to seats on the ground-floor. The public will be admitted to the Town Hall fifteen minutes before the service commences., The Mayor of Auckland (Air.. George Baildon) will preside. The lesson (Rev. xx, 11-22) will be read by his . Excellency the ' GovernorGeneral, Sir Charles Fergusson.- An address will be delivered by the bishop of the diocese, his Grace Archbishop Averill. The Rev. R.S. Watson* M.C, will also speak. Prayers will be said by the Rev. George Stubbs, R.N., chaplain to the New Zealand. Squadron. The "Dead March" is to be played by the acting city organist, Mr. Edgar Randal, and the Seddon Memorial Technical College Trumpet Band Will sound the "Last Post." During the service the congregation will sing the National Anthem, "O God, ". Our Help in Ages Past," "The Nameless Graves,''' Kipling's "Recessional" and "For AH' the Saints."

"Wreath Laid on Cenotaph. Following the conclusion of the serthere will be an impressive ceremonial act outside the' Town Hall, when, the Governor will lay'a wreath at the foot of the cenotaph. Wreaths will ajso be laid on behalf of the New ; •Zealand Government, the icStizens of Auckland, New. Zealand division of the' Royal, Navy, Returned Soldiers' Association, Australian Imperial Force, exService' Women's Association, Officers'. Club, Auckland primary schools, Darbour Board, Navy . League, . Victoria League, Soldiers' Mothers League and the Victoria-League. When the wreaths have been laid on the cenotaph, the mased bands will play the "Dead- March" Unfortunately, it will not be possible to repeat-the service in the Town Hall by means Of amplifiers in the square, though it was previously suggested that this should be done. Services at the Cemeteries.' Wreaths from the cenotaph will later be plated at the foot of the monument in the. military cemetery at' Waikumete. A service is to be held in the cemetery, starting at 3 p.m., when Mr.' E. W. Inder, past president of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association will preside. Rev. G. C. Cruickshank, vicar of St. Mark's, Remuera, will read prayers and deliver an address, the "Last Post" will be- sounded, and- the "Halleluiah Chorus 1 ' will be played by the Municipal Rand. A train will leave Auckland for Glen Eden at 2 p m returning at 4.30. '
