At a meeting of the Soutbern Hawke'sj Bay branch of the Farmers' Union, a member brought up the matter of the protection of wool growers, dairymen,' and meat growers; •' He said that they-had Boards of Control, but he thought, in view of the prices they had had to take this season, -some action should be taken in the - direction indicated. It was' decided to frame' A,', remit on • the subject for the annual conference.
