FULL RINK OPEN TOURNEY. PAPATOETOE'S FIRST VENTURE. Papatoetoe's first venture in a full rink (open) tourney took place yesterday. The competing teams were from Onehunga, Epsom, Mount Albert, Mt. Eden. Otahuhu, Clevedon and Grey Lynn, and also five teams of the Papatoetoe Club. The tourney was played under the aggregate scheme of the secretary of the Grey. Lynn Club (Mr. T. J. Mclvor),' an arrangement that met with the approval of everyone. In presenting, the trophies, Mr. F. M. Waters (president of the Papatoetoe Club) called for three, cheers for the winning team from Epsom, skipped by de Launey, which scored five wins" and had an aggregate of SO points. The runner-up was G. Kawnsley, of, Papatoetoe, who scored 4 wins and- 72 points. Mt. Albert team (Garlick) was third with 4 wins and 66 points; and Mangere (W. Knight) was fourth, with 4 wins and 02 points. Eighteen teams took part and were limited to.eleven heads. *

CLUB GAMES. CARLTON GREEK. A competition. somewhat out of the ordinary will take' place on the Carlton green to-morrow afternoon for a trophy presented by Mr. Van Staveren, one of the club's members. The competition will be a knock-out handicap singles. Three bowls will be used,- and',only ten heads will be played, one dead head allowed. Carlton players are reminded that the competition will start at I.SO* sharp. . INTER-CLUB MATCHES. ROCKY XOOK V. MEXTAL HOSPITAL. A -return match 'between teams representing the Mental Hospital and Rocky •Xook Bowling Clubs was played on Wednesday 'afternoon and resulted in a win for Mental Hospitoi by 87 to 70. Three of- their teams won_and the fourth game was a - tie.
