HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE.

I ■ ACTIVITIES OF SOCIETY. - J FORTY CASES FOR YEAR. As an indication of the increasing activities of the People's Health Society in Auckland, the annual report for the year ended on March 31 shows that from 30 to 40 more patients have been sent forward for curative treatment under the terms of the agreement made with Drs. Mackenzie and Pettit. This makes a total of 73 who have been treated under the auspices of the, society. In view of the highly satisfactory results obtained it has been decided to develop the work, and the matter of registering the society is to be submitted to the annual meeting. A constitution has been prepared for approval or amendment. A considerable amount of the Work of the past year' has been devoted to improving the financial position of the society. Concerts were held in August, September, October, November and December, being arranged by Mrs. A. J. Dreaver; but the results obtained' were far from satisfactory, and the executive, was therefore compelled to abandon that method of raising funds for the time being. Principally due to the efforts of Miss Olive Young, in disposing of membership cards, the society has in hand the sum of £29 6/10, as against £12 4/8 when the last report was submitted. Appreciation is expressed in the annual report of the generous terras offered to patients by Drs. H. D. Mackenzie and W. H. Pettit, and also of the sympathy shown towards the movement by Miss Andrews (masseuse) and Messrs. D. Noice Grainger (osteopath), and Robert Olsen (chiropractic). The date of the annual meeting has not been decided.
