DOMINION GOVERNORS.
(To the Editor.) -Sir,—Noticing in the ;".Star", a few days ago the adverse comment of the London "Times" > upon the suggestion from these shores that the time, has arrived when Governors of, both Australia -and New Zealand should be local born. T .would just like to point out that the "Times" seems to have overlooked the fact that 'both Governors in Ireland, T. Healy of the Free State, and the Duke of Abercorn in the North of Ireland, are Irishmen born, so there cannot be any honest objection to the movement for a New Zealand born Governor. —I am, etc., R.G.
