NEW SETTLERS.
LARGE NUMBERS COMING. WAIMANA WITH EIGHT HUNDRED. The White .Star Line's steamer Athenic, which is bringing a large number of passengers from England to New Zealand, is expected to arrive at Auckland on Sunday. She was originally scheduled to arrive at this port to-day, but a wireless communication from, the vessel states that she is being delayed by storms. Included among the six hundred passengers on board are 308 assisted immigrants, most of whom are for Auckland and Wellington. The details of" the immigrants and their destinations are as fbjlow:— / ■
Another large .batch of immigrants will reach Auckland by the steamer Waimana on Wednesday of next week. Of' the S.lO passenger-? on board, about 010 arc children. ' The liner Roiorua. .whicli is due at Wellington .from Southampton on March 21, is bringing about, 4 r>o 'passengers, .of whom nearly 300. a?o assisted immigrants.
