HUNDREDS OF POLICE. DARING BANDITS. LOXDOX, March 4. Hundreds of police on foot, in motor ■ •cycles, and in motor cars took part in a most thrilling all-night chase after j five motor bandits, who leapt into :i standing motor car at Birmingham and went full speed for Droitwich. i They had smashed shop windows, I stolen a cash register, and assulted a ! bystander. They drove on for 30 miles' and raided the railway buffet at ' Asehureh, Gloucestershire. Then, cut oil' 1,,. M,.. ~,>r('on of police, they raced back to Birmingham, terrorising the villagers at Northficld by smashing windows. Finally iiiey abandoned the motor car and escaped into the fields. Two were arrested.
