WAIKATO'S - TROTTING CLUB.

TO-MORROW'S PROGRAMME. AT ALEXANDRA PARK. Owing to the work of forming a new course at Hamilton for the Waikato Trotting Club not being finished the club w"ill hold its autumn meeting at Alexandra Park to-morrow, and it is certain that under the new conditions the meeting will establish a fresh record for the country club. Trotting has made such remarkable progress in the Auckland Province that the smaller clubs are now able to present a most attractive programme, and outside the metropolitan area the Waikato meeting is an easy first. As usual the hill-of-fare to be- offered to-morrow will cover eight events, and with a large acceptance and all the best of the pro yince's light-harness horses down for engagements, there is every promise o: an excellent day's sport. At 11.15 a.m. a start will be mad< when the candidates for the Improver, (trotters) Handicap will be.in the bin" cage. Twenty have made the accep' ance, 11 being an the limit, with Ansc. ine the back-marker on 180 yds. Thos. on the front end are a poor lot, of whic Timbell and Tui Bells may be the be?" Don Zolock would only have to go awa right to get in the money, but he tak so long to settle down that his char.c is invariably gone. Vanity Boy said to be fast, but he went away pacin each time at ~ the' Otahuhu meeting. ] is difficult to say what will be favourit but Tui Bells is bound to be well sii] ported. If Bingen Starr happens to pace rigl in the Progressive Handicap, the othei would have to improve eonsiderab! upon anything they have yet shown t have a chance. However, in his tw starts at Otahuhu he broke up anel diappointed his supporters- Still. 1: meets a poor lot to-morrow, and mabe to lose a length or two will no matter to him. McMillan also has an other in Beauty Spot engaged, anil i both start the bracket should appeal t' backers. Antelope and Goldfinch ar< possibilities. but the second choic should be Grattan Thorpe. The big race is the Alexandra Handi cap, anel the whole of the 13 acceptor should go to the post. Of the three on the limit, Rock Hinton should gc best, as he has a fair amount of pacand stays pretty well. On 12yels arc a good pair in Wallroon and Hughi<Wallace, anel they will both carry solid support. Cute Lad ran badly at the Otahuhu meeting, but in much stronger company, anel Oruarangi. if he lias improved at all since he raced at Christmas, would hold the majority of his opponents safe. Dean Dillon is reliable and for that reason is .entitleel to respect, but Jewel, though a gooel stayer and fast, is too erratic. Like Jewel is Glandore, who would he a good tiling if he would only go right, but as he does this so seldom, backers are now tired of him. First Carbine shoulel beat Xita Bell off the same mark_j S4yds- It should be a great race, and the. most in demane 1 may be Oruarangi, Wallroon and Rock ■ Hinton. If Black Ballin is produced in the Raglan Handicap, he should be favourite, as his fourth place at the Otahuhu meeting was good enough to dispose of the team he will meet to-morrow. Antelope and Don Douglas may be best supported of the others. Logan Rothschild was unlucky in not winning a race at Otahuhu and with an ordinary passage he should go well in the Waipa Handicap. Master Councillor and Mint Boy may he well backed. The Members' for straightout trotters -will attract a useful field, and with Mutu let up a second in the handicap after running a second and a third at Otahuhu, lie is well treated. My Junior is bound to go a good race off the limit, and though Betty Moko is lOSyels behinel, she is such a class above the others that she should be" handy at the end. The horses engaged in the Dominion Handicap are not a good lot over a two miles journey, and it is the kind of race which might produce a surprise. Holly Boy should have been second at Otahuhu and if he reproduces that run he woulel take a deal of beating- Still, he is a sour customer and Will only go when he wants to. Dick Dillon, Grey Peter, and King Lear may be the most favoured. The curtain will fall with the Farewell Handicap, and many of those accepted for have engagements' earlier in the day. If Logan Rothschild escapes a penalty he should be in demand, with Ben Lomond and Kingsclere also carrying good money.

The programme is as follows, the last three performances being given in front of the horses' names (1 stands for first, 2 for second, 3 for third, 4 for fourth, 0 for unplaced, and — for no previous race this season) :—
