NORTH TRUNK RAILWAY.
THE RUAWAI SCHEME. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! PAPAROA, this day. A meeting of settlers held in the council chambers last night, Mr. H. H. Sutherland presiding, resolved to form a hraru-h of the Raupo Drainage Area Railway League, and to petition the Government for the construction of a branch line connecting Ruawai and districts in the lower Wairoa River basin with the North Auckland railway at Paparoa. A committee was appointed, with power to add. Keen interest is being taken at Ruawai in this matter.
