FIFTY YARDS TITLE. ADAMSOX AXD FAIRGRAY DEADHEAT. When the first race for the r>o yards swimming championship of Auckland was swum some time ajro. A. IX Adamson and L. Vairgrny finished together, and with the idea of finding the champion a was conducted by the Mount Kden Swimming Chili at the Mount Eden baths hist night.
The two men prot away to a great start and sprinted down the bath together. In a splendid finish the two contestants touched together—the second drnd-heat. The time was 20 3-ss. It is said that neither of the swimmers i< anxious to swim again, so tli.it the allocation of the title will he decided by thp Auckland Centre at its meeting to-night.
