UPPER HOUSE STRUGGLE.
RESUMING TO-DAY. WILL THE BILL PASS? REJECTION. EXPECTED. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The fight over the bill for the abolition of the New South Wales Upper House will be resumed this afternoon, when Mr. Willis, in the Legislative Council, will move for leave to introduce the measure at the stage where it was left last session. According to oninions recently expressed in the lobbies, leave to introduce the bill will no doubt be granted, and the second reading division will be made the vital issue. It is generally believed that the bill will be defeated by a small majority.— (A. and N.Z. Cable)
