Delivery of benzine in bulk was started in Auckland promptly this morning by means of a tank wagon and by tlie system known as "damping," The wagon waa a new device, fitted with a number of f safety attachments; and several vehicles of a similar type will soon be commissioned for the regular transport of benzine to the kefbside tanks in all parts of the city. Storage tanks will not be available in Auckland for some months. Two of these, each having a capacity of 5000 tons of spirit, are now in course of erection at Freeman's Bay. The new system of handling benzine and the distribution to consumers were considered to-day at a meeting of dealers in Auckland. They will also be discussed at the quarterly meeting of the New Zealand Motor Trade Association, which commences in Wellington on Thursday.
