DRUIDS' HOSPITAL FUND.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. QUESTTOX OF FREE TREATMENT. The nnnual meeting of the U.A.O.D. Hospital Fund Committee was held in the Druids' Hall. North Street, mi Thursday evening, there being a representative feathering of delegates present. The balance sheet for the yenr 1925 was submitted, showing the total receipts at £152S 13/6. and total expenditure at £1523 7/7, which was considered very satisfactory in view of the large claims" mnde upon* the funds, and the relief accorded members from liability for hospital fees. The application from the Matamata Lodge for affiliation was granted as from April 1. The election of officers resulted as follows : President, Mr. H. Pollock ; vice-president, Mr. W, Gregory ; secretary, Mr. J. D. Bell ; | auditors, Messrs. \V. Gregory and V. I Pearson. Discussion took place upon the question of free hospital treatment for all ' citizens requiring treatment. Mr. T. Botterill. president of the United Friendly Societies' Conference, laid that organisa- i tion's views on the question before the delegates. .It was unanimously decided ! that full support should bo accorded to tiny movement having free hospital treatment as its object.
