_ I — ■■■■—■ > < • DOWNPOUR IN WHANGAREI. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! WHANGAREI, this day. The Whangarej district experienced another thunderstorm last night. Two j and a-half inches of rain fell in a few hours. ] During the storm several houses had electric bulbs broken. Creeks are running high, and freshes are expected, otherwise no damage is recorded, except to gardens. The Bay of Islands district is included in the area benefited by the rain, a heavy fall beginning yesterday, while there were further heavy storms last night. The rainfall recorded this .month is: Whangarei 6.68 inches, Kamo 7.55, Ruatangata 7.82. Before this week hardly any rain fell. HEAVY FALL AT HELENSVILLE. (By Telegraph.Own Correspondent.!
