BACHELORS OF BRICKLAYING.
I " MORTAR BOARD DIPLOMAS. . WASHINGTON, January 12. Self-styled Professor Dr. Holler, Dean of the Oriental University, has been convicted on a charge of obtaining money under false pretences. Degrees were issued by the "Oriental University" on payment of stipulated fees. While in a trance "Professor" Holler took the advice of spirits of departed educationists who recommended him to make graduates of those who had paid the amounts demanded. The Government Prosecutor revealed \ at the trial that there were 700 different (degrees for sale at various prices from £3 i upwards. The "University" among other things turned out masters of paper-hanging, bricklaying, bee-hiving and domestic science.
