SYDNEY, this day. j The reciprocity arrangement between the Sydney branch of the Marine; Stewards' Union and the New Zealand' Cooks and Stewards' Union has termi-j nated. following on the refusal of the ; New Zealand Union to allow the members [ of the Sydney union on the steamer 1 Makura, when that ship went out of com-1 mission, to join the other New Zealand ships. The agreement was terminated j by the Sydney union, as the officials claim i that the agreement was dishonoured by the action of the New Zealand union, j This means that in future all New i Zealand members on Australian ships! will be compelled to transfer to the Aus-, tralian organisation if they wish to [ retain their positions.
