j. TOURNAMENT VENUES. The monthly.- meeting of' the New Zealand Golf Association was held on Monday. The statement* of "finance showed" credit balances at the National Hank of £136 and at the Savings Bank of £514. A cablegram was read from F. 'M. Dean, professional, stating that owing to very heavy booking lie was unable to leave eailier than by the Corinthic, sailing on February 2C>. This arrangement was continued. The question ra:.-ed by an affiliated flub as to whether ;t provincial championship should aluavs l„- played on one course or whether it should not be varied amongst several curses in the produce was again considered, and .' was decided that, the council has no power to interfere with the arrangements which have been in force for maW ? .-ars, whereby the club which ori-inalfv !"' st '"' the I""'"'"«•'*! championship >« the one on whose link.- that event is played each year. The i'rofesionals" Association advised that a silver cup had been presented to them for competition, and suggested' "that it should go to the winner' of the championship event, at the professionals' tournament each year, which is this year to be played in Dunedin next month This suggestion was agreed to. . The Miramar Club had asked for a definite decision as to the venue of the open and amateur championships, looc, It was. after discussion, decided definitely .that the tournament is tr be held at .the Miramar links during October, !9->r the actual dates to be decided Liter. - ' '
