FOREIGN WARSHIPS.
. . VISITS TO AUCKLAND. FRENCH AND JAPANESE UNITS. Two foreign warships will visit Auckland during. February. . They are the French' sloop Cassibpee and the Japanese training ship Twate. ' The Cassiopce is under the command of Captain de Frigate Deeouse. She has on board approximately one hundred men, and will arrive at Auckland on February 1-3. remaining in ■ port until March 1. The Iwate •is commanded by Captain Edahara, and will visit Auckland from February 26 until March 3. The vessel is on a training cruise and carries ninety midshipmen on a full complement\ of four hundred. It is understood 'that Prince Hironubu Fushimi is a-cadet on board. Captain Edahara is anxious that the cadets shall have an opportunity of viewing the government, educational, industrial and commercial institutions in New Zealand, from an educational viewpoint, during the visit.
