WET PARTIES.
NEW YORK DRJNKS MUCHNO ONE ARRESTED. NEW YORK, January 12. Ke-w York's New Year's celebrations were the wettest since the war, according to some of the newspapers. The festivities were continued over the week-end with unabated gaiety. Although cabaret doors were guarded day and night by 200 enforcement officers, no merrymakers were arrested. It is estimated that 600,000 quarts of intoxicating liquor were consumed.
