ENTRIES CLOSE TO-MORROW.

A well-attended meeting of the Auckland Anniversary Regatta Committee was held iv the Navy League rooms last evening, Mr. B. W. Beaiimont presiding. Rangitoto is not available it was decided to secure the new S.s. Takapuna for harbour excursions during the day. The schooner .vaebt Kaimiloa, which has been offered as flagship for the officials, will be moored in position the evening before Regatta Day and suitably dressed for the occasion. It was decided to present champion flags to the first boat home in the following classes: Sift, 22ft, 20ft, M, V, S, T, X. T and Z. The owners of all unballasted boats ISft and under must notify any change of sail area at time of entry. The Star class was excluded from "the handicap events at the expressed wish of the owners. The finance committee met after the general meeting to organise a system of collection. It was stated that many who are willing to donate to the funds wanted to be called on personally, and this will be done as far as possible. The sum of £27S is in hand to date. A silver cup donated by the Farmers' Trading Co. was allotted to the sailing race for warships' whalers, for which seven entries are already assured. An officer from one of the ships will assist the regatta officials in the conduct of this rare, which is already causing considerable interest amongst the fleet. Entries will close to-morrow at the Navy League rooms. Customs Street West, between 111 noon and 3 p.m. and 7 to 0 p.m.
