CHATEAU FRONTENAC.
HISTORIC QUEBEC HOTEL PARTLY DESTROYED BY FIRE. SOCIAL LIFE DISRUPTED. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10 a.m.) QUEBEC, January 15. The original wings and the great tower of the Chateau Frontenac, one of the world's most historic and famous hotels, are to-day in ruins, an overnight lire destroying the building, while fireproof doors kept the flames clear of the new sections, the guests being never endangered. The damage is estimated at over 2,000,000d01. The city's entire social life is disrupted, as the Chateau was the centre of all activities at all times, especially during Parliament.— (Reuter.)'
