HARBOUR EXCURSION.
An enjoyable harbour excursion of three hours was made last night by the Northern Co.'s steamer Rangitoto. The dancing floor of the steamer was the top teak-floored deck, 35 feet square, enclosed by a display of flags, the forward part of the deck being reserved for the accommodation of spectators and sitters-out. A canvas awning covered the dancing area, and the or° chestra was accommodated on a raised platform. Leaving the wharf at S p.m., the Rangitoto proceeded up the Iharbous, around the four-saasted barque Rewa, steamed past the American pleasure schooner Kaimiloa, and rounded Brown's Island and Motuihi, or Quarantine Island, before returning to port at a ■■'"■ '•'
