An. excellent Job had been made of it under Mr. Farrelly's supervision. - . v .?<■■■ An application was received from Mrs Kidd and Miss Parker asking the board to grant a further extension of time for them to form and metal the road on their property, as they ■ had not sold any sections fronting Howden Street. The clerk wae instructetd to write and point out that the agreed time had expired twelve months ago, and that the board could not grant any extension; the work to be . carried out forthwith. - . . It was decided to repair Kitchener. Read, from the hospital to junction of Drury Road, by giving same a dressing of metal and coat with bitumen; later Queen Street and remainder of Kitchener Road would be done. The clerk was authorised to order 10 tons of bitumen and 100 yards of metal to carry out the work. . - - ■ = /Tenders* are to be called for earthwork in Victoria Avenue; tenders to close on January 22,- at ,12 noon.- r - - .- ; Accounts amounting to £193 were passed for payment. . ■ -. . . . •,
