MANUKAU HOTELS.
The quarterly meeting of the Manukau Licensing Committee was held in the Onehunga Courthouse at mid-day to-day. There were present Messrs. J. Rowe, W. J. Wallace, W. H. Gavin and E. V. Sutherland, Mr. Rowe presiding in the absence of the chairman, Mr. W R. MeKean, S.M. The committee granted a permanent transfer of the license of the Ellerslie Hotel from tbe estate of the late Henry Bergman to his widow, Ruth Ann Bergman. Sergeant J. A. Cruickshank stated that the report of Constable Thompson, of Ellerslie. was favourable.
