ALLEGED BANK FRAUDS.

TWO MEN CHARGED. LABOURER AND LAW CLERK. , (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A case is being heard in the Magistrate's Court-to-day in which William Smith, labourer, is charged with obtaining from the Savings Bank £350 by means of valueless cheques drawn on the Bank of New Zealand at Invcrcaijgill, and Eric Baume, law clerk, is charged with receiving £350 from Smith knowing it to have been stolen. Both were jointly charged with obtaining from the Savings Bank sums totalling £1100.
