DEATH OF A GIRL.
ARREST OF A BOY. SUSPECT IN HOSPITAL. SYDNEY, November 2. As a sequel to the death at Junee of Clare Prowse. aged 17. a telephonist. •Tack Smith, agred 18, telegraph operator, has been arrested. Tt is stated that Smith had been paving his addresses tn the girl, and had been repulsed. It is believed she was attacked with a razor. The girl rushed into the house where she was boarding, covered with blood, and died shortly afterwards. The police visited a room at the -Tunpe Hotel and arrested Smith, who is sad to-have bppu suffering from two wounds. one of which was in the temple. He was on the point of collapsing, and was sent to a hospital. Tt is believed that he will recover. A razor was found in his room. — (A. and N.Z. Cubic.)
