MAORI MAN" DROWNED. (By Telegraph.—rresa Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. William Ttnwiri. a well-known native. ?,() years of age; a married man. was drowned at Wairau on Saturday night. He had attended a political meeting, and was making for home by a short cut. intending to row across the river to his home. The boat was gone, and Knwiri attempted to swim across, lie did. not reach the further shore. His clothes and bicycle were found on the bank, and there is no-trace of the missing man. »■■ : '<■
