FRACAS IN A RACE TRAIN.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) AVAIHI, this day. As the result of a drunken fracas in a train returning from Te Aroha races on Saturday evening, Charles George, married, and H. J. Dwyer, single, were charged at the Police Court this morning with using obscene language, fighting, and damaging a pane of glass, and drunkenness in a railway carriage. Constable Turby prosecuted. Accused pleaded, guilty to all the charges, and fines and costs totalling £10 18/ were imposed on each accused.
