PUBLIC SERVICE ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL REUNION. i 1,0 annual smoke concert and reunion of members of the Auckland section of the New Zealand Public Service Association was held in the Chamber of Commerce on Saturday evening. The chairman of the section, Mr. J. Hollows, presided, and there was a, good attendance of members. A telegram was read from the Prime Minister, the Hon. J. G. Coates, expressing regret that owing to public engagements elsewhere, it was imposisble for him to be prjsent, but wishing the gathering every success. Among those who attended were Jlr. J. H. Pagni. the Italian Consul, and Mr. R. Sinel, formerly president of the New" Zealand Public Service Association. A number of toasts were honoured, and these were interspersed with songs contributed by Besses. H. E. Wells, W. Murphy, A. Austin and B. Hutton. The chairman referred to the great loss the association had sustained by the death of the late Captain Gordon of the Marine Department, and a vote v- sympathy was passed to his family and relatives.
