MANY OTHERS HURT. FIRE DAMP IN GERMAN PIT. (Received 12.30 p.m.) BERLIN, November 1. Seventeen miners were killed and several injured by an explosion of fire damp in the Holland pit of the Phoenix Company at Gelsenkirchen.— (A. and N.Z. Caole.)
