STATE ADVANCES LOAN.
OFFERS FROM OVERSEAS. (Ry Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBURTO-T, this day. At a meeting on Saturday the Ho». W. Nosworthy, referring to the 5_ per cent loan now being raised for State Advances, etc., said applications were coming in satisfactorily, and there was every prospect that the amount required would be obtained. Offers to subscribe substantial sums had been received from overseas investors, some of which had lioen accepted. As these investors were shrewd judges of security, this could be taken as a good indication of the Dominion's high credit and financial status. He ad.led that our last London loan raised in May was now quoted on the London market at apremium of seven shillings and sixpence.
