"GOOD MORNING, DEARIE."
At Lewis R. Eady and Sons, Ltd., on Wednesday morning, the box plans will be opened for the five evening representations ol' "Good Morning, Dearie," which is to be staged by Mr. George Gee, Miss Josie Melville, and the J. C. Williamson, Ltd., musical comedy company at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday night next, and ror the special arternoon performance to be presented on Wednesday, November 11. "Good Morning, Dearie." was specially purchased hy lhe Williamson, Ltd., management as the successor to "Sally," and it proved even more successful " than the latter opera In both Sydney and Melbourne. In "Good Morning. Dearie," both George Gee and Josie Melville have scored their greatest triumphs, and it gives Mr. George Vollairc, the brilliant young baritone, better opportunities than lie received in "Kid Boots." Mr. George Crotty was speciallyengaged for the character or Chesty Costello, and Miss Jean isewcombe was selected in New York ror the part ot" Madame Bompard. A big rcature or the production is the work or lleyward's Jazz Band, and some particularly clever and original ballets are presented by the Australian Sunshine Girls. Positively only the five nights can be allotted to the run or "Good Morning, Dearie," as the company will leave ror Australia on November 13. THE FUTURISTS COSTUME COMEDY COMPANY. Modelled on lines half way between the late Pellissler's Follies and the London Optimists, tho above company give entertainments or the lighter type. Comedy sketches are interspersed with dancing items hy the six English ballet girls, jazz song numbers, soubrette's items, ballads, eccentric dancing, and topical absurdities. Miss Gladys Thomas takes a turn at leading the orchestra, and a wild riot on the stage brings down the curtain on the first part The second part is made up or lively comedy, hilarious music, and clever dancing. Sketches such as "Buying • a Stamp," "The Cop," "The Wireless indicator, and " 'Appy Itampstead," are produced. It is interesting- to note that a recent addition to the company is Mr Gus Dawson, well-known light comedian and dancer, who was through the Dominion with The Diggers. The Futurists come direct trom Hobart, where they had a record season. The box plan ror the local season opens at Lewis n. Eady and Sons Ltd., on Tuesday morning.
