THE ANNUAL MEETING. SWEET MEMORY WINS DOUBLE. The annual meeting of the Te Aroha Trotting Club was held on Saturday on the Te Aroha racecourse in beautiful weather. There -was a large attendance, and the course was in good order. During the day £15,444 was put through the totalisator, as against £9049 last time, but on the latter occasion there were only seven events, as against eight on Saturday, and in addition it was bad weather. The order of the leaders was the same along the back except Ofa Mai had dropped back last. Mt. Albert led across the top from Why Worry. Blair Audubon and Stanmoor, while Ofa Mai was making up ground fast. Stanmoor led into the straight from Blair Audubon, Mt. Albert and Ofa Mai. which were bunched. Half-way down Ofa Mai challenged Stanmoor, and beat him by half I a length, with Mt. Albert a length away, third. Blair Audubon and Why Worry were next. Times: 3.0. 2.51, 3.0. The field had not gone a furlong when Peter McDonald broke, and Solon Dillon took charge from Peter McDonald, Sweet Memory, Todd Bells and Roe Bell. Peter McDonald was ln front when the stand was reached from Sweet Memory, Roc Bell and Todd Bells. Peter McDonald again left his feet turning along tbe back stretch and Sweet Memory ran to the front from Peter McDonald and Todd Bells. Peter McDonald was in charge again crossing the top, Sweet Memory having broken. However, 1 the latter soon got into her stride again, nnd in the run homo bent Peter McDonald by a r.eck, with Todd Bells three lengths further back, third. Roe Bell was fourth. Admiral Lock was the early leader from Dillon Huon and Why Worry. The last named ran to the front along the back, and led across the top from Dillon Huon, Grey Peter and Money. Grey Peter then drew out. winning easily by three lengths from Why Worry, which beat Money by a neck. Admiral Lock was fourth. Times : 3.3S 3-5, 3.41 3-5, 3.41 4-5.
