£ 10,000 FOR KAURI GUM PURCHASES. VOTES FOR NAVAL DEPOT. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Eeporter.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The following Auckland votes appear on the Supplementary Estimates, passed by tho House of Representatives to-day: Karitane Hospital, Auckland, maintenance (additional), £500.

Erection of two 5000-ton oil tanks at Devonport naval base (additional), £4300. Laboratory for testing naval ammunition, Devonport, £100. Purchase of land at Devonport for naval purposes (additional), £500. Naval reserve, furnishing and outfitting of drill hall, £70.

Advance by way of loan to College Rifles Club, Ltd., for erection of hall (on account), £4000. £1500 is voted as subsidy to the Commercial Travellers' blanket fund when the association raises £5000. £10,000 is voted to the Land Department for kauri gum purchase. £200 is voted to the widow of the late Mr. W. P. Morton, stationmaster at Taumarunui. Scenery preservation votes include £lbff for fencing Parr'a Park, Swanson, £100 for road access at Trounson kauri forest, and £225 additional for the purchase of limestone rocks at Hikurangi.

An additional £100 is voted to the Education Department ..as a further grant to the head teacher and pupils covering loss of salary and medical expenses arising from the Waikino School tragedy.
