The Supplementary Estimates were presented to the House to-day, totalling £107,3-14 on general revenues account, and £108,0.30 for public works. The widow of the late lion. W. F. Massey is granted £t>ooo. and £1000 is appropriated for funeral expenses, £117 for bcautification of the grave site, and t">000 on account of a memorial to the late Prime Minister. , Additional subsidies to hospital boards, £:iO,OOO. Railway passes and concessions to members of tho Legislature, families and relations, £24.478. Subsidies fur wireless broadcasting £3">00. Tho public buildings vote includes £l-o for panelling in the committee room of the League of Nations hall at Geneva. An additional £2.">,000 is appropriated for the restoration of road works, bridges, etc., damaged by flood. £5000 is provided for the relief of unemployed, to be engaged on road works.

Hospital boards in the four chief centres have a vote of £500 each for provision of accommodation for mental cases under observation.

Pay and allowances for territorials attending camp, including casual labour, £6200. The Customs Department has a vote of £3250 for remission of duty on ships imported for river trading. The Labour Department has a £500 vote for technical tuition of apprentices. The Electoral Department provides £45,000 towards the cost of the general election, and £45,000 for printing rolls. For higher education, an additional £250 is voted for national research scholarships; £2500 for the maintenance of schools of forestry at Auckland and Christchurch; £2350 for expenses of the New Zealand University Commission. The MaTine Department provides £2250 for wireless equipment ait Puysegur and Stephens Island lighthouses.

The Defence Department requires £26,000 for the purchase of an aerodrome eitc at Auckland.
