MOTOR BUS OVERTURNED.
ACCIDENT AT MANGERE. FIFTEEN FASSENGERS ABOARD. Massey Road, Mangere, was the scene of a bus accident-on .Sunday evening, when the eight 6"clock bus from Fapatoetoo to Auckland capsized with 15 passengers, nbout half-a-mile from Mangere Crossing. No serious injuries resulted, but several of the passengers suffered from bruises and cuts by broken glass. They were attended by residents in the vicinity while another bus was being requisitioned from rapatoctoe. Just before the capsize occurred, four passengers had been taken aboard the. bus at Tennessee Avenue, and, while their fares were being collected, the bus glided off the tarred pavement into a depression on the right-hand side, where it overturned on the soft road between the. tarred surface and the water-table.
Immediately after the passengers had been taken aboard another bus to continue their journey to the city, steps were taken to upright the overturned vehicle. This work occupied more than two hours, and was no£ completed until after midnight, several buses being in attendance while it was in progress.
