WHANGAREf, Monday" .At to-day's meeting of the Whangarei Hospital Board the final selection of the , site was made for the future erection of ' an old people's home, to accommodate { 20 males and 10 females. This site is < contained in the present area bf the ( hospital grounds, and new plans for its erection are to be prepared. The Pub- ( lie Works Department is being asked to i provide the plans, which - will provide i for extension at both end\ to accom- t modate an increased number of inmates. I It is understood that the financing of the old people's home will be done" out of bank overdraft* instead of loan. The board reaffirmed the placing of insurances with the Government State j Fife Office in preference to outside com- \ panics.
