SPRING FLOWER SHOW.
1 ■ TO END TO-NIGHT. The Auckland Horticultural Society's Spring Flower Show wilt be concluded in St. Andrew's Hall, Lower Symonds Street, this evening. It is a finer dis- j play than has ever previously been j staged by the' society in 27 years, ana I is described by the judges as a partial- ( larly striking one, both in point of ' quality and variety of blooms. Much j difficulty was experienced in judging ; some of the daffodil classes, and the | first, second and third prize-winners • were found to be high first-class. On account of the wide support given ! by Auckland growers, and the consequent , need of arranging many of the tables in tiered formation, an effort will be I made next j-ear to obtain more commodious premises for show purposes, in j order to encourage the. increasing inter- J est now being taken in horticulture in. I the city and province.
