ATTEMPT AT MURDER.
SHOOTING AT MARTINIQUE. FRENCH GOVERNOR WOUNDED PART 5 . August 23. A dispatch from Fort de France. Martinique, states that an attempt was made to assassinate M. Richard. French Governor of the island, as he was embarking on a steamer. Four shots were fired at M. Richard, who was seriously wounded. — (Reuter.)
