Mr. Havelock-Wilson, in a wireless message from the Empress of Scotland, in which he is going to Canada, stated that '-Reds'' made a desperate attempt to hold liy the steamer, but failed miserable. The crew laughed them to scorn. Eleven larjie liners sailed from the United Kingdom this week-end, the total rrews approximating 5000. The Orvieto sailed early this morning.—A. and N.Z.
