SHIPPING DISPUTE SETTLED.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH Friday. The dispute in connection with the steamer Penmorvah, which haß been on the idle list since Monday on account of the agents for the vessel not seeing their way clear to accede to the men's demand for full pay on Friday and four hours on Saturday as standing-by time, has been settled. An agreement was reached whereby the men are to be paid at the rate oi five hours for Friday, four hours for Saturday and the same for Monday. Work was resumed this morning at the discharge of guano from the vessel.
