MOTOR CAR STOLEN.
PARKED LN FORT STREET.
A nearly new Ford car parked in Fort Street yesterday at noon by the owner, Miss C. J. Ellis, of New Lynn, was taken from the stand within ten minutes of being left there. Miss ElUs took the precaution to remove the switch key, but the thief evidently knew how to manipulate the switch wires sufficiently to start the car. A gentleman in a car nearby saw a man get into the car and drive it off, but took no notice of the incident until a few minutes later when Miss Ellis appeared and made inquiries. The police were promptly communicated with, but up to the present no word has been heard of the car which bears the number N.Z. 58-931.
