N.Z. LEAGUE TEAM.
THE AUSTRALIAN TOUR
FINAL GAME TO-DAY.
The tour of the New Zealand League footballers in Australia will be brought to a close this afternoon with a ma*ch against New South Wales. Already these teams have met three times, New SouthWales winning the first time, but the second and third games went to NewZealand. It was thought when the tour was first arranged that a match might be played in Victoria, but apparently the mixed record of the New Zealancleis has not warranted a trip to Melbourne, and the tour will close to-day as originally arranged. The team has met with only a fair share of success, but it is admitted that many pf the players have been suffering with injuries received, and a cable received in Auckland a week ago from one of the managers stated that it was only with difficulty that a team could be fielded. The team will leave for the Dominion next week, and arrangements have been made for them to play a match against an Auckland thirteen on August 29.
