NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. At the fortnightly meeting of the council of ih.- New /.r.u.ui.l Football Association it was decided that the North Island final be played at Auckland, A ruling on the ijiu stion of the throw-in was receiVed fr. m the English Football Association, this stating that the player must stand on.side the line when throwing the ball in, the rule otherwise being unaltered. A ruling on the question of offside play states that there must now be three opposing players between the man playing the ball and the goal-line before he can play. A definition of corner play was also submitted.
