CYCLONE IN GERMANY.

SEVERAL PEOPLE KILLED. LARGE AREAS SWEPT. BERLIN, August 12. After an unprecedented and prolonged heat wave, during which the thermometer registered 95 degrees in the shade, to-day was the climax. A storm visited a large area of North Germany. It was accompanied by a whirlwind, hailstones as large as hen eggs and tropical rain. Several were killed and injured. Many buildings were destroyed in Uetersen, Gremen, Lubeck and Hamburg.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
