GRANT OF £500.
MILITARY SPOfcTS ASSOCIATION.
In June last the Auckland Military Sports Association wrote to the City Council requesting a donation, and on the request being considered by the Finance Committee the latter recom* mended a donation of £100, but the Council referred this back for further consideration. Subsequently a deputation from the Association waited upon the Finance Committee and asked that the amount be £500, which was originally voted to the now defunct Community Club. Last evening the committee recommended the donation be £500,. and this was adopted.
